Immanuel Quickley to announce his decision TOMORROW

Well, we saw this coming. Immanuel Quickley, the five-star point guard thought to be Kentucky’s first commitment in the 2018 class, will announce his decision tomorrow evening at 6 p.m. at his school in Bel Air, Maryland, his mother told the Baltimore Sun. It will be streamed online via Uninterrupted, the same company that dropped an eight-minute documentary on Quickley earlier today, reports Matt Scott. Kansas, Kentucky, and Miami are the three schools on his list.

Kentucky has long been the favorite for Quickley, and if you watch that documentary, it all but confirms that the good news we’ve been hearing about is his commitment:

Come on down, Immanuel. Bring your drums.

While this is great news. This is far from brace yourself kind of news. Quickly has been the lock of all locks for us. Hardly news at all for his commitment. But I get the mind game behind him committing while Zion is on campus. Well played cal

Yes. If Quickley commits, it will be the good news we have been anticipating, although not “brace yourself” news. Maybe another player will also commit??

Great video and personality from a talented prospect. Even if he doesn’t commit here goo luck to him. Love the pencil in the hair.

His game reminds me a LOT of Doron Lamb except he has better handles!

Yes, Cal has missed on some guys (Shabazz and/or Anthony Bennett probably hurt the worst), but this will be the biggest disaster of his time at UK if Quickley somehow picks Kansas. Besides Keldon Johnson, there is not a guard left that is highly interested in Kentucky, and without a leader this class may have trouble coming together. Another vague announcement by Matty Jones is not enough to get me excited.

Awesome. Look forward to seeing him suit up.

To the people here and on RR debating whether this qualifies as big news or whatever, I don’t know why you all are always doing this. Every time Cal announces big news coming only for it to be an Orange Leaf announcement or something unrelated to recruiting, every time Matt says big recruiting news coming and it’s a player we all expected to commit, every time some of you get overly excited and predict we’re getting the moon. Lower your expectations, dudes and dudettes, and enjoy the ride.

This kids maturity level is insane! I put him at the top of the list of CAL players with Fox and Booker. Watching that small clip i can see why Zion wants to play with him. His IQ is unbelievable. I know Cal misses on some higher ranked kids latley but Calipari hasnt had many if any kids that are in trouble with the law or academically at UK. He picks some high character kids!!!

He should do a drum roll with his drum kit before he makes his announcement.
