I Woke Up Late’s Sunday Morning Wakeup

image

Have you ever had a dream that you forgot to do something and then you woke up and realized it wasn’t a dream? That was me about half an hour ago when I woke up and realized my alarm didn’t go off for me to do my Sunday Morning Wakeup post, henceforth I am deeming myself Worst Intern Ever for the day. Nonetheless, there are things you just simply needed to be reminded of so I have compiled here a list of things in the world of Kentucky that will get your Sunday started off right…even if you woke up late like me!

Auburn snaps 18-game losing streak to Kentucky

When the Cats traveled to Auburn yesterday, our hopes were high to continue the streak against the Tigers. But Kentucky let a double-digit lead slip away with their inability to defend the three point shot and some careless turnovers led to 75-70 loss to Auburn. But don’t fret BBN, Derek Willis had the best game of his career. He played a season-high 31 minutes and was aggressive. He finished the game with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds, something Kentucky hopes to see more of in upcoming matches. Tyler Ulis also finished the game with a double-double that neared a triple-double. This is just another sign that he is Kentucky’s leader and is doing everything he can to get us a W.

Stephen Johnson II signs with UK

Kentucky football got another 2016 commit in the form of JUCO QB Stephen Johnson II yesterday. Formerly having played for College of the Desert, Johnson was discovered after the hiring of quarterbacks coach Darin Henshaw and offensive coordinator Eddie Gran. This commit will bring some much needed competition for Drew Barker and broadens the options for QB’s come fall.

The UK Hoops will look to bounce back from their recent loss to South Carolina as they also take on the Auburn Tigers today at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum. The ladies are looking to avenge an earlier road loss to the Tigers.  If you’re heading to the game, here’s some game day info related to tickets and parking. But if not, you can also cheer on the UK Hoops team by catching them on the SEC Network! Ohhhhhhh C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS!

Pitino is interested in the UNLV job???

According to an article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, our longest foe Rick Pitino is interested in the open coaching position at UNLV. This article actually just talks about why UNLV needs Rick Pitino as their head coach and all of the reasons why he would be the perfect candidate, even going on to mention that “if he was interested, the money would be there.” Assuming he wants to leave Scandal city and opt for a less-promiscuous team, would this mean the rivalry moves or the rivalry doubles?

Pitino to UNLV, makes perfect sense. Prostitution is legal in Nevada. He and his players will feel right at home.

Maybe Pitino wants to get closer to his base?

In all fairness, the Louisville people posted on their boards and on Twitter before you did… so who really gets the credit?
