University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

I think we found Kentucky’s next in-state basketball star

wilgus

There is an eighth grader in Wolfe County who I am sure you’ve never heard of, but that is about to change right now. His name is Wilgus Tolson and you need to remember that name from this point forward because the kid can play.

Tolson had his first highlight reel hit YouTube today and consider me all in on the Wilgus Tolson Hype Train after seeing it. It is full of clips from his trip to the 2016 MSHTV Camp in Indianapolis, where he shined against some of the nation’s best in his age group. He was recognized as an All-Star at the event despite being the smallest player on the floor.

So stop whatever it is you’re doing right now and watch this young Eastern Kentucky star whose dream is to be a Wildcat. You won’t regret it. Trust me.

Offer him right now, Cal.

Frankly….he reminds me of myself at his tender age…..a basketball savant of sorts, able to do things with the ball that defied some of Newton’s Laws………at least that’s how I remember it………Hey the kid has crazy skills, his use of the upper fourth of the backboard is impressive…….he has adjusted his set shot and layups to accommodate his stature…….not unlike Patrick Sparks…..I doubt his game will translate to D1, but hell who knows how big he’ll get…….could be a Larry Bird thing…….

Check out TJ Toney from Hebron Middle in Bullitt County. Scored 54 in a game this year. YouTube his name and its 7th grade highlights.

I’ve heard of this kid. Played against him 4 times last year and went 1-3. Never saw such a high level of play from this kid though.

I figured he might be good, but wow I wasn’t expecting that. He has some pretty mad skills to be his age and proving size doesn’t matter. Hopefully Cal starts watching this kid soon because he looks to be the real deal.

Keep an eye out for Chimaobi Ajuonuma. Freshman out of Powell County. It will be fun seeing these 2 play twice a year!
