I don’t know how to feel about this picture of Joker Phillips with a UK Commit

You are looking a picture of Alex Reigelsperger, a four-star pass rushing Kentucky commit, and Joker Phillips, a former UK player, head coach and current Cincinnati assistant coach.  Reigelsperger is rocking Bearcats’ attire.  The picture was taken by Reigelsperger’s teammate, Blue Smith, the nation’s top-ranked athlete and Vince Marrow’s most coveted recruit left in Ohio.  The picture was taken at the University of Cincinnati.

I don’t know what to say, other than: “Back the hell off, Joker.”

Makes me feel 2 things: 1. Concerned about his ability of Joker wants him. That said, this staff has proven to trust their ability to spot talent. 2. Not in the least concerned if Joker is trying to steal him.

Alex is 100000000% committed. What was he supposed to wear to his visit? UK gear? Lol

For UC, that’s an cotton-poly XXXX shirt.

Unless you are from Cincy….or you want to study Music or Art – or your dad studied engineering there and you idolize him and his every move…….there is no reason to go there. Although, Nippert is a cool old stadium. And Bogarts is cool.

They don’t play in a major conference. Why would any self-respecting athlete allow them to entertain?

Exactly, we own UC in recruiting. UK gets guys from Cincinnati and Ohio all the time who UC wants. Stoops has really hurt them. Plus we took Gran and Clinkscale from UC. Nothing to worry about.

Somebody get ahold of Dawson, let him know he needs to start working on reigelsperger and blue, get things sewn up. In all seriousness, I think Dawson could probably out-recruit Joker.

  8. I’m only concerned if Joker busts his mad Photoshopping skills out. 😂

UC a good mid major FB program…..not concerned. We lose a recruit to them; it’s the recruits loss

All Alex has to do is watch how Joker systematically destroyed all the momentum Rich Brooks created.

Some of the teams in Cincinnati’s conference might be “mid major” but their program isn’t. They currently have more players on NFL rosters than Kentucky and have had much more success than UK over the past 10 years. UK has out recruited UC in Ohio the past few years but that had more to do with Tuberville simply ignoring Ohio and recruiting the south.

With Fickell there, UC will be a major player with virtually every top kid in the state that Ohio State doesn’t want. They already have two of the top kids in Cincy committed (4* Fairfield DE Malik Vann and 4* LaSalle TE Josh Whyle) and will likely end up getting 4* Winton Woods LB Chris Oats (assuming he isn’t a take for OSU) and 4* Moeller DT Aeneas Hawkins. Also in the mix for 4* Lakota West LB Xavier Peters. If Hawkins ends up committing to UC in the next few weeks, Alex R isn’t going to UK. He has too close of a relationship with Hawkins and Vann to not join them at UC.

UK isn’t going to out recruit UC in Cincy and Ohio is going to be much tougher for them to get kids from going forward. You guys are seriously underestimating the ties that Fickell has from all the time he spent at OSU.

While UC/Fickell are a bigger threat to the inroads UK has made in Cincy/Ohio than most people on here appreciate, I think they are going to struggle mightily this season, which will make it difficult for Fickell to keep them committed.
