I Could Watch Chinanu Onauku Shoot Free Throws Forever

Yes, you’re reading this correctly: a UofL basketball post that isn’t about hookers. We heard about it during the Summer and saw some snippets, but like the Apostle Thomas, sometimes ya gotta see it to believe it.  Tonight Onauku showed us that he’s sticking to his new free throw form.  Rick Berry Part 2 isn’t as accurate as the Hall of Famer, shooting 3-4 on the night, but he gives me a reason to watch Louisville basketball.  I can’t take my eyes off it.

On the other side of the court, Dominque Hawkins’ former Madison Central running mate, Ken-Jah Bosley played well in a losing effort.  The man who hit a State Championship-winning shot had 18 points for Ryan Lemond’s alma mater.

Wesleyan kept it fairly close throughout the game, and another Kentucky school, Bellarmine, only lost by 11 points against Indiana.  It’s a shame neither could pull off an exhibition upset, but at least we can keep watching Nanu shoot free throws underhanded.

I couldn’t take my eyes off it either. Especially when it got down to 6 pts with undrr a minute to play, Wesleyan had the ball – Pitino had to put his starters back in, because Mats Stockman and Anus Mahmoud showed the Cards still have 21 feet of suck on the roster.

Listening to Kent Taylor and Drew Deiner gush about this UL team was insufferable. UL is bad. Really bad.

I like how about 8 seconds go by while he’s at the line with the ball, and the ref has counted only 4.
