Our friends are enjoying the fine summer weather in the Dominican Republic. I’ll be right behind them shortly to celebrate my honeymoon. Just between us, I can’t wait to get married. This weekend is going to be fantastic and the faster I finish writing this, the faster I put a ring on it.
Joel Justus is going to Argentina — It’s wheels up for the Kentucky basketball assistant coach. He’ll be in South America to watch members of the 2019 and 2020 recruiting class compete for Team USA in the U17 FIBA World Cup. Vernon Carey, Scottie Barnes and R.J. Hampton are the biggest names Justus will be watching in Argentina.
The Carters aren’t Coach K Fans — But I am big fans of the Carters. The gift that keeps giving, they just can’t stop talking. In Wendell Carter Jr.’s latest interview, he was joined by his parents as they threw Mike Krzyeqwzsqui under the bus for bringing in Marvin Bagley in the eleventh hour.
“My initial reaction, I was pissed. And it wasn’t pissed because Marvin was coming. To be honest, I felt like that was information that was kept from us,” Kylia Carter said. “It felt (shady), it felt like my baby was gonna get kicked to the curb. I felt like all of that.”
Read all of their grievances here and try not to laugh too hard.

What in the Wide World of Sports is a Going on Here?
It’s a Waterfront Wednesday — It’s a pretty neat thing that happens in Louisville once a month. It’ll be extra awesome because my buddy Dr. Dundiff is opening up the night with Otis Junior at 6:00. If you can make and the weather holds out, I have a feeling you’ll like what you hear.
Louisville City is Back — The Boys in Purple return to Louisville Slugger Field to take on Pittsburgh’s football team, and I’m not talking about the Steel Curtain. The action begins tonight at 7:00.
Jared Lorenzen Hosts KSR — Your favorite Kentucky football quarterback turned KSR Football Podcaster is sitting in KSR’s big chair this morning alongside Drew Franklin, who is making his triumphant return to the show after a two-week vacation. Don’t miss it.
