How your favorite UK players and coaches spent their Memorial Day

memorial_day_food

Happy Memorial Day, folks. I’ve stepped in to give Drew a much-needed break after spending my day in the movie theater and on the couch with a hangover (as all Memorial Days should be spent).

Fortunately, it looks like our favorite UK players and coaches celebrated Memorial Day in a much more exciting fashion. Here’s a wrap up of how they spent the holiday, mini Tweet Beat style:

Coach Cal is still in Florida and tweeted out this message of thanks to our nation’s servicemen and women:

We should do this more often, but I want to make sure everyone takes some time today to thank everyone who has served in our country. We can’t thank the brave men and women who have served or are still serving enough for all that they do for our country. Their sacrifices have made this country what it is today — the greatest country in the world.

Amen.

Rajon Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins, and Josh Harrellson also thanked the troops:

Jon Hood was fishing at the lake because that’s what Jon Hood does:

The Harrison Twins worked out with former Jayhawk Josh Selby:

Stone Cold Willow jumped in a pool, which upset one lady and made some UK football players laugh:

Aaron Harrison also did a little subtweeting…

To be fair, Aaron I follow all of the managers, not just half.

How did you spend your Memorial Day?

Is it confirmed that Coach Cal is still in Florida. I live in a small eastern Ky town, and a restaurant here posted on facebook that they served Coach Cal today. Not sure why he would be here on Memorial Day even if he wasn’t in Florida.

I bet it kills Maryland fan that the twins rock that Under Armour gear. Their CEO is a Maryland grad and someone at UA is very close to Aaron Sr. They thought for sure the that would help them land the twins.
