Kroger’s KSR Game of the Week between the Lexington Catholic Knights and Covington Catholic Colonels was an instant classic.
Coming in as the heavy favorite, Cov. Cath led 28-21 with just 1:10 remaining, only to see the Knights answer with a touchdown and 2-point conversion of their own to take a 29-28 lead just 38 seconds later.
Driving down the field for one final drive in the game’s final seconds, the Colonels managed to get into field goal range with one play to go. Instead of converting the last-second victory, Lex. Cath’s Jackson Klein blocked the kick to hold on to the upset win.
KSR’s own Bradley “B-Roll” McKee was in attendance to get the complete game footage, and unsurprisingly, the highlights are pretty sweet.
Check out the footage below:
In case you missed it earlier, KSR’s Troy Howell was in attendance, as well, writing the full game recap with all the quotes, stats, and play-by-play you could ever need.

The KHSAA announced this morning that the start of the football playoffs have been delayed one week in an effort to “provide schools and school systems time to review their situations and work with their health departments to determine the best course of action.”
With this move, the first round of the playoffs will now take place the weekend of Nov. 19-21, with KHSAA adding that no additional changes are anticipated at this point in time.
