It was a dramatic night in Frankfort as the controversial Pension Bill was rushed to a vote before lawmakers could even read it. The House passed the bill 49-46. Hey Kentucky went live to cover the action. Teachers, you’re going to want to watch this.
The Senate is expected to vote on the bill tonight or tomorrow.
UPDATE: The Senate passed the bill. As a result, schoolteachers across the state are striking, forcing Fayette County to cancel school tomorrow:
All Fayette County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, March 30, 2018 due to having more than a third of our school employees out.
