I’m going with Wildcat Red to win the Derby, which would put Ryan dancing with Dancing Guy. The tattoo, 24 hours of Ryan Lemond Radio, volunteering at a homeless shelter, and interviewing Saul Smith, all make me excited.

Kevin Ollie will likely follow Durant. If the Lakers can pull him from OKC, which could be possible, then I could see him leaving UConn.

  9. Just wondering: why is no one trying to connect Cal to the Knicks job? It used to always be the Nets or the Knicks that folks would talk about.

    • Reddington

About the Ryan Lemond Derby, you all need to combine the 24 hours of radio with an hour co hosted with KY Joe with a 20 minute interview with Saul Smith during that hour.

  11. Rob in Florida

Cal’s wording sounds a bit careful to me, and not all that different from how he sounded right before he left Memphis. I hope I am wrong. I know it wouldn’t happen that fast but announcing he’s leaving on Derby weekend would almost make sense as the announcement would be overshadowed by the Derby.

Cal’s wording is always careful and that’s a great way of putting it. He will never flat out say, “I will be the coach at Kentucky next season.” His phrasing always leaves open a door. He knows what he’s doing.

But he’ll be the coach next season. No doubt in my mind.

If you complain all year about how ‘these boys don’t play together’ and the ‘basketball is ugly and terrible’ and you can’t enjoy the NBA playoffs, you have shown me that your opinion is essentially grounded in nothing substantial.

Just a quick question. With the “Big 5” conferences gaining autonomy from the NCAA, do you think schools like UCONN will be at a disadvantage? Going off that, do you think Kevin Ollie, after winning a National title, will feel at a disadvantage with other college basketball team and jump ship to the NBA if the Lakers offer him a job?
