Happy Big Blue Birthday, Jarred Vanderbilt!

Birthday brownies are in order – Jarred Vanderbilt is another year older! The former Wildcat was selected by the Orlando Magic in the second round of the NBA Draft (as the No. 41 pick) before being traded to the Denver Nuggets. Vanderbilt signed a three year, (nearly) 4-million dollar contract with the Nuggets last summer. Oh yeah, and today he turned 20 (!!) years old.

Several Cats wished their former teammate a happy birthday on Instagram, posting pictures from their time spent with Vanderbilt in the Blue-and-White, including PJ Washington, Quade Green, Wenyen Gabriel and Jonny David.

Of course, Coach John Calipari wished him well, too.

Kentucky basketball is for life. Happy birthday, Jarred!

Wish this guy got to play more than a few games. Won’t go down as an all time great Cal player, but may blossom into an NBA all star

Your standard for thinking someone is a loser is as pathetic as using the word loser. GFY

Well, the fact that he suited up and played in games for Kentucky, does in fact make him a former player. I’m sorry he hurt your feelings by getting injured and not being able to play. Which brings me to my initial point, you being a loser.

Maybe we don’t consider you as a fan.

So do y’all consider Kanter a former Cat? How about any one and done? Dude got hurt, was hesitant to play, played hard, got hurt again, and shut it down. If you’re hating on him for being safe and leaving then you probably glossed over the fact he sign a deal worth $4 Million which he doesn’t do if he comes back or further injuries himself in a more serious manner. BBN is for life!
