Hamidou Diallo Commits to KENTUCKY

The nation’s No. 1 shooting guard in the class of 2017 is going to be a Wildcat.  Hamidou Diallo picked the Cats over UConn, Kansas, Arizona, IU and Syracuse.

The sixth member of the class of 2017 and the fifth 5-star, Diallo will enroll at UK next week.  He will join this year’s team, but is not expected to play until next season.

Diallo joins former Team USA teammates Quade Green and P.J. Washington in the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class, a class that still has room to grow.

Watch Diallo against the best competition in the nation at this year’s Peach Jam.

With a 6’11” wingspan and outstanding leaping ability, we won’t miss Monk’s dunks for long, thanks to Diallo.

Will make Monk and Fox better by practicing against them.

This is great but in reality do we think a guy who has played the HS level defense that is required of super scorers (i.e. very little) is going to jump in and give better defense against our current players than they are already getting?

I don’t see him realistically helping UK this semester so much as getting a gigantic head start on next season in learning, chemistry, etc.

I don’t think I’ll ever figure out what constitutes waiting moderation here.
