Wichita State head men’s basketball coach Gregg Marshall is facing some serious trouble after new allegations of misconduct paint him as a real jerk around campus.
CJ Moore and Dana O’Neil over at The Athletic dropped a report that Marshall is under investigation for wild behavior that includes punching a player, and my favorite personal favorite, the one about him asking a student who parked in his spot, “Do you know who the f*** I am?”
If Marshall discovered someone parked in his spot, he would typically double park behind the car. As Marshall approached his spot that day, he did not get there fast enough to block the student in. Instead, Marshall quickly turned his car around and followed the student’s car, eventually blocking his car at an intersection in the parking lot. According to an eyewitness, Marshall got out of his car and started yelling at the student, asking “Do you know who the fuck I am?”
The student had his window down and responded, “I don’t give a fuck who you are.” Marshall approached the car and, according to the eyewitness, attempted to punch the student through the driver’s window. [The Athletic]
A successful coach when he’s not playing Kentucky, Marshall is considered one of the best coaches in the country, having turned mid-major Wichita State into a regular winner. But this new report will change the perception of Marshall and his mark on the Wichita State program.
I, for one, am Shocked.
I will remind everyone that @DrewFranklinKSR was threatened by the NCAA to lose his media pass and approached by a Security guard to be kicked out of the arena simply for posting a video of Gregg Marshall’s wife screaming at officials
