Gotta love WCS offical new name now. Tomorrow’s show is going to get a lot more interesting. Hopefully Comer will still do it now after the article in the paper today.

That studio looks pretty small… you might have to kick Leland Conway Twitty out of his studio.

So who ever wins the debate, should get win the Wendy’s debate of the day.

Changing your name to Trill is not awesome. It falls in the same category as Metta World Peace & Ocho Cinco. Just a publicity stunt before the draft.

Not to mention it messes up his new logo.

Yep. Will have to completely redesign it now.

Fair but you realize that wasn’t the only change. His name was Willie Durmond Cauley Jr. He also made the Cauley-Stein official. WCS was never his legal name. Trill is his middle name name. So he is still WCS.

Seriously though, if he was later embarrassed about the blonde hair, he’s gonna look back and feel silly for making his middle name Trill.

JoeMoney333 – That is very true. However, there was a great reason behind adding Stein to his official name. It is his mother’s maiden name. What’s the purpose of Trill other than to try to gain publicity for it?

KSR is doing their own version of Fancy Farms. Maybe they should call it Funny Farms.

Matt, c’mon James Comer will not answer any questions about his issues. He’ll tell you he has possible litigation pending against the woman and cannot speak on the matter.

Matt, have you heard any word of decommits from UF now that Donovan is gone? Not sure which of their guys are signed, but I know sometimes schools will let those guys out of that if the coach leaves.

      10:34 am May 5, 2015 Permalink

That’s a good question. They have 4 guys signed as the 67th, 81st, 94th, & 149th players in the nation. Not the best, but could be good roster fillers for us. The problem is that Kentucky wasn’t involved with any of them during their recruitment.

That is an incredibly weak class for Donovan. Kind of shocking unless he has known for some time he was leaving…

Very true. They’re ranked #17 in the nation on Rivals. Seems pretty weak for a top 20 class. Quantity over quality I guess.

Matt – Do you think that Billy Donovan is no longer on the short list for the next UK coach? Assuming he fails at OKC, he may be looking to head back to college in a few years. I personally think he’s past his prime at the college level and needs to find a way to make it work in the NBA.

    • J-Dub421
      10:42 am May 5, 2015 Permalink

Agreed. I used to maybe want him as our next coach; I don’t anymore.

If you don’t like the spot-light, then maybe the NBA isn’t for you.

Maybe it’s $100 worth of susihi or $25 worth of BBQ. Maybe Brown prefers the BBQ. I’d take the sushi.

The punishment should fit the crime though. A $98,000 fine for speeding sounds excessive. What’s the fine in Finland for murder then??

    • J-Dub421
      11:37 am May 5, 2015 Permalink

By Matt’s reasoning, rich people should do more jail time for murder, or DUI, or assault just because they’re rich. The whole point of the legal system is to treat everyone equally (at least it’s supposed to), this is why there are certain levels of punishment/jail time depending upon the nature of the crime.

    • JoeMoney333
      11:43 am May 5, 2015 Permalink

Your fighting a strawman there J-Dub. Murder isn’t a fiscal punishment. Time =/= money. Fine’s are a fiscal punishment and percentages are the easiest way to create an equal deterrent. Thus it is the best way for the government to treat everyone equally. You have to get past your jail time = a fine.

    • J-Dub421
      11:53 am May 5, 2015 Permalink

You will never deter people from speeding. The fine is a punishment, and the fine for speeding is dependent upon how much you were speeding. 10 MPH over the speed limit is 10 MPH over the speed limit, regardless of who was doing the speeding, so the fine should be equal.

A $100 fine for a homeless man is a pretty good deterrent not to commit a crime. but a $100 fine for a millionarie is not a very big deterrent. not even a slap on the wrist. So a wealthy man has very little dis-incentive to not commit this hypothetical crime.

But we all have the same limited amount of time here on earth. (note: some people live into their 100s and some only into there 50s – but in comparison to the bum and the millionaire, the difference in time spent on this earth is negligible).

So saying a wealthy man should pay a larger fine for the same crime makes sense in order to actually have bite behind the bark that is deterring the crime.
But making a wealthy person spend more time in jail is actually unfair to the wealthy man since we all spend the same amount of time on earth.
