Awesome long weekend in St. Louis! Cats are rolling.

Notice there are more and more trolls on this site? Cal/UK must be doing something right. 😉

I’m thinking it’s kind of like when an old vacant building (UofL) is demolished and all the rats and mice come scurrying toward the nearest houses.

What else do they have to do? Watch all the sports shows talking about the NIT?

    • Realme
      10:15 am March 13, 2018 Permalink

So, are the Cards playing in the NIT or not, and is it true Indiana didn’t even make it in?

    • Big Board, BBNDude & CodeRed are actually still here, although theh’re not posting as often. However, neither of them give up that easily. If we win the whole thing they’ll have something to say.

    • I still give them kudos for their tenacity. DennyC has apparently given up, unless he has multiple screen names, which is highly possible, as it is with the other trolls.

    • BTW, I’m really surprised UCLA is a play in team. That’s usually reserved for the group of 5 schools, often ones I’ve never heard of.

Realme, are you saying that the person who was cats paw really passed away, or that he never comments anymore. Hopefully the latter – I would not wish bad things even on a troll (well, maybe something like a raging case of jock itch, but nothing serious. 🙂 )

Louisville plays Northern Kentucky. Actually, it’s unbelievable they didn’t pair us with Murray State.
Maybe the geniuses on the selection committee don’t know that Murray is in Kentucky.
Indiana did not get an invite to the NIT.

I get what you’re saying, but doesn’t the title of the show kind of spoil itself? I do think this site needs to get back to using more jump breaks in the blog posts. Some of the ones with a lot of photos are just brutal to try to scroll through to get to the ones below.

Don’t really like the way things are shaping up – playing far away (similar to 2016), tough draw in our bracket (as usual), and a player injured and possibly not participating. Add to that the fact that Arizona is probably feeling slighted by their seeding and wanting to make a statement, and I don’t think they could make the road any harder if they tried. But of course, 2014 taught me to never count the Cats out!

And go, Lipscomb Bisons of Nashville…beat UNCheat.

    • J-Dub421
      11:23 am March 13, 2018 Permalink

I’m not that worried about Davidson. Arizona will be quite the test, but don’t forget that Sean Miller teams have a history of choking in March. Also, guard play wins in March, and I will take Shai and Quade over anyone.

    • Yes! Lipscomb is named after a great preacher, and also long time editor of The Gospel Advocate, in the 1800’s. A sister school to my alma-tamater as the late great Jim Fyffe (long-time and now late Auburn play-by-play man…and UK grad) used to jokingly say.

    • Poll: which would you rather?

      1) UMBC becomes the first 16 over a 1, or…
      2) Buffalo over Zona?

I say both (Hee Haw as RG would say), but we know that’s almost impossible. I say probably #2 the way everyone says Zone is playing. I haven’t actually watched either team.

    • J-Dub421
      11:41 am March 13, 2018 Permalink

Confession: I originally typo’d “teat” instead of “test,” thank goodness I caught that before I hit post. 🙂

Did anyone read the article that said that TV Teddy has been banned from reffing the NCAA tournament for turning his back on Joel Berry? I am not a TV Teddy fan, but what a crock of feces. Would they ever do that if Cal wanted to have Shows or Higgins banned? I mean, c’mon, I actually think Valentine handled it well – the ref’s are under no obligation whatsoever to listen to a player whine about a call.

    • ClutchCargo
      10:35 am March 13, 2018 Permalink

The NCAA is 100% right to do this. He is an attention whore, and there is no place for that in officiating college basketball games. The crock of feces is that there are a few others who also need to be banned and probably won’t be.

    • CATandMONKEY
      10:37 am March 13, 2018 Permalink

I am not shedding any tears for Teddy but the post-season ban seems rather capricious.

As noted above: serves him right for turning his back on NCAA Royalty.

    • RealCatsFan
      10:37 am March 13, 2018 Permalink

Realme, no chance of Higgins being banned, since he is on Ol’ Roy’s payroll.

    • UNCheat player or not, he was showing the player up. However, yes, if Cal complained like Ol Roy probably did, Cal would probably be suspended from the tourney.
