Jordan Brand Classic

The Jordan Brand Classic took place this evening in Las Vegas, where future Kentucky Wildcats Tyrese Maxey, Kahlil Whitney, and Keion Brooks Jr. all competed in the event.

In a 132-125 victory, the Home team featuring all three Wildcats defeated the Away squad, with the future UK players combining for 36 points and 13 rebounds.

Brooks finished with 15 points on 5-9 shooting, six rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals in the victory.

Maxey wasn’t far behind, finishing with 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Whitney also added eight points on 3-6 shooting and two rebounds.

Here are all of the highlights from Brooks and Maxey (Kentucky can only comment on signed prospects as of right now):

With the Jordan Brand Classic now over, Whitney and Brooks will compete in the Iverson Classic in Philadelphia on April 24, while Maxey will look ahead to the BallIsLife All-American Game in Long Beach, CA next weekend.

Agree. Hard to tell anything from these meaningless all star games where they play no defense and take horrible shots. This is strictly for show with very little fundamental showings. Did watch about 10 mins in 2nd half of it via live stream, Anthony hits a 3 and broadcasters {who were terrible} brag about how great he is and favorite player etc and next shot he almost knocked down the backboard he missed a 3 so bad. What I saw in Maxey was aggressive but took a few bad shots {all did it was an all star event}, Brooks was very active and had a nice put back dunk on a Maxey missed floater {Maxey normally makes those}, Whitney had a nice ft area turn around over a guy but next trip air balled a 3. Like I said hard to tell from this type of play. The good thing is they all look pretty strong which should help as they move up a level.

And they will show up next year… and go through the annual rituals of Coach Process:
      1. Take an early upset or two…

      2. Get called “youth”

      3. be told to “pretend we won”

      4. get beat by SEC teams we used to beat routinely

      5. make the NCAA only to get upset by a less ranked team

      6. Toss around the explanation “ I tried everything “

      7. SUCKER our weak AD in to an AFTER DEATH CONTRACT by threatening to replace a retiring Coach K at Duke…

      8. Then rinse and repeat…

Who cares who we bring in to our once dominate program… we have the same COURT JESTER underachieving and lowering our standards…

      GO BIG BLUE!

KYCat you put some much effort into being a troll that it’s sad. If only you put that much into your real life you’d possibly be successful and not have a failing miserable life that your only joy is trying to steal others. But hey congrats on your failed marriage and daughter who is gonna grow up to be pitinos stripper of the week.

Sorta disappointed in Maxy’s fg % .231 and 3 point % .167. Thought he would show better in a guard oriented all star game. All seem to be good athletes. Welcome to BBN.

Kycat4ever only knew the term Court Jester because that was his daddy’s last words to him before he strangled him and put him in his basement bedroom wall.

So UK edited the tape you showed? And since UK did the editing, they could only do this for the players that had signed?

Does that mean KSR can’t show highlights from Whitney if KSR provided a link to someone else’s edits?

What does UK have to do with KSR?
Also, the “hip-hop” announcers drove me nuts ??

Agree on the announcers. Plus, at times I thought I was watching a show about foot feetishes. Did we really need to pan in on the ref’s shoes every free throw? Geez.

Maxey is gonna be sick… love that kids game. And keion is awesome I knew Maxey but brooks is very surprising. Khalil I feel is holding back a little bit I expect a monster, liggins type player.

      Liggins was never a monster.
