Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Friendly Reminder: Tomorrow’s exhibition game will not be on TV.

Basketball season is finally here!!! The Cats will face the Ottawa Braves, who lost to Baker University 82-74 last night. Kentucky will tip it off tomorrow at 7pm in Rupp. The game will not be televised on TV and it will only be seen on the WatchESPN app. If you can’t get access to the app and you are in the Lexington area, unclaimed student tickets (which anybody can buy) for the first four games are still available here.

Cats by 90 (or more).

You can still watch it on TV. Just use your AppleTV (if you have one). AppleTV has the WatchESPN app.

“Televised”…meaning broadcast to your TV via your Cable or Satellite provider. Only an idiot would think they meant you can only watch the game on a small screen like a phone or laptop/tablet/PC monitor.

Just hook your hdmi cable from your laptop to the TV. Still, this game seems like something that the SEC alternate channel was made for.

I love seeing Ulis clapping at that guy. Clearing space does work both ways, occasionally.

In case you haven’t gotten your daily dose of the Louisville “hookers-for-ballers” scandal, then enjoy this article from the Chicago Sun Times! 😉

The first exhibition game not being televised is bad enough. The second “real” game on the 14th is also not televised. What is up with that? Are we going back to the days of sitting around and staring at the radio? Televised practices. Check. Televised games. No.

The game is listed on the SEC Alternate Channel! How can you call thus not being on TV?

It is listed on SEC Plus, not SEC Alternate. Plus is an online broadcast only.

I have Time Warner Cable and a Roku player for Netflix and I was able to download the WatchESPN app to my TV for free. I think you can do the same thing as long as your cable provider carries WatchESPN.
