Clayton Smith has a Mother’s Day gift for the Big Blue Nation.
A four-star outside linebacker out of the class of 2021, Smith announced his top 6 lists of schools and the Kentucky Wildcats made the cut.
Happy Mother’s Day ?

Just look at that list of schools next to UK…
Smith is rated as the 61st best player in the nation according to 247 Sports and the sixth-best OLB. He currently attends Texas High School down in Texarkana, TX and has two Crystal Ball predictions from 247 Sports favoring the Texas Longhorns (that’s a lot of tex’s).
Scouting reports highlight his impressive frame and athleticism at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds along with his potential as an early-round NFL draft pick. Smith also plays the opposite side of the field as a wide receiver, where he is known to leap for big plays.
Pulling one of the best players out of the state of Texas to come play football at Kentucky is still going to be a hard sell, but the recruiting steam continues to build for Mark Stoops and his staff; they are beginning to infiltrate a talented market that the program isn’t used to.
