Just over a week ago, Kentucky hosted four-star recruit De’Rickey Wright, a top 25 outside linebacker committed to Alabama, on an unofficial visit. Today, Rickey, an Alabama native, announced he is decommitting from the Crimson Tide:

An Alabama commit decommitting after visiting Kentucky? Is this the Twilight Zone? The timing sure looks promising for the Cats, who hosted Wright during their big camp weekend:

Yesterday, Wright told Rivals’ Travis Graf he really enjoyed his trip to Lexington and plans to officially visit Kentucky this fall.
“Everyone I met was friendly and welcoming. My favorite thing about the visit was the people. I talked with Coach (Jon) Sumrall and Coach (Brad) White. They’re great class guys, I really like them.”
That interview happened before today’s decommitment. Football recruiting changes in the blink of an eye, but there’s no denying Kentucky’s on a roll.
