Four-Star DB Joel Williams Postponing Announcement

@sayyjoee
Mark Stoops and the Kentucky coaching staff were expecting to go three-for-three with four-star commitments on Tuesday. They started out a perfect two-for-two, but they’re going to have to wait for that third and final player to make his college decision.
According to Josh Edwards at The Cats Pause, four-star defensive back Joel Williams has postponed his announcement.
Change of plans. There is just one more #Kentucky-related announcement today. [VIP] – https://t.co/ihRU4dOidN #BBN

After hauling in two, elite four-star offensive lineman – RJ Adams and Jeremy Flax – the Wildcats were on the brink of ending the day with one of its best recruiting stretches in recent memory. Unfortunately (or maybe not?), Williams is going to take some more time to think about it.
On Monday morning, Williams tweeted out that he was looking for someone to help him with commitment videos and he even posted a picture back in late November indicating that he would announce Dec. 17. Obviously, that is no longer the case. Something has changed in the last 24 hours and there is no current indication as to when Williams will make his final choice.
The Crystal Ball over at 247Sports gives the Wildcats a 63 percent chance to land the Baton Rouge native. Williams is rated as the 13th best athlete in the country and the 12th overall player in the state of Lousiana. He’s been a highly sought after recruit, pulling in offers from SEC programs such as Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn.
Almost another Yahtzee!, but we can wait a bit longer.

This is not good. Wouldve been a hell of a get.
I’m telling you he’s probably headed to LSU or he’s going recommit to Florida. My prediction from earlier is holding up.
Exactly right Notfromhere!! These kids change their minds more than air in their lungs. Lol. He’ll either commit to UK or he won’t. It’s really that simple. Saying that, he would be a big time get for us and would be hard to keep off the field next year. He’s a kid that you can just about put anywhere and feel good about his position ( other that the lines of course). Lol.
About the predictions from any one here, it’s just a guess and not one of us knows for sure what any of these kids are going to do. Unless you maybe happen to be their mom or dad!!!! A lot of us have been here from the beginning and seen a lot of people come and go, when people start trying to act like some kinds of insider because they may have guessed Right a time or two, they usually don’t last very long. Haha.
Wrong reply. Sorry, I must have hit the wrong reply button. Anyway, Go Cats!!! Lol
The way this kids been all over the place with his recruiting , he’ll probably be in the transfer portal next year anyway .
Let it go. He’s 18. He’s also a friend of someone on the Cats roster, if I’m not mistaken. Think about that
Better postponed and a Wildcat than announced and rescinded or for another team. Go get im Big Dog!
Yes sir!!
13 th in the country, but 12 th out of Louisiana…… Facts are optional.
13th ranked ATH in the country, 12th ranked player in Louisiana regardless of position.
Reading comprehension is optional. lol
Louisiana may be a small state but the talent in that state is unreal, if you look at how many kids from LA end up in the NFL it’s amazing.
Blue white. It still makes no sense. I guess I take athlete to mean a competitor in any sport. And in that sense it would mean the top twelve athletes in the country are from Louisiana, him being the twelfth in the country. But I guess such are recruiting ratings regardless of sport, none of them really mean much. I hope we’re not out of the game, he must be a good athlete/player.
Athlete just means they are equally good at multiple positions. Typically Athlete is for someone that seems equally good at multiple positions such as WR, RB, TE, DB, LB, etc.
Yeah I could see where that’s confusing but when there’s a player that could play a number of positions in college they consider them an athlete instead of a rb/wr/db/lb so it’s the position that they get ranked by
He would likely play FS in Brad White’s defense. He also would be an option at PR or KR.
