Florida will be down a big man for the Kentucky game

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Florida will be without freshman big man Dontay Bassett on Saturday when it hosts Kentucky in the regular season finale.

Bassett took an early exit from Tuesday night’s game against Alabama after he was caught on the wrong end of an inadvertent blow while tracking down a rebound. It has since been determined that Bassett suffered a concussion and will have to sit out against the Cats.

Bassett played only five minutes in the first meeting between the two schools, a Florida victory in Lexington. But he has emerged as a key contributor over the last few games, highlighted by a career-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in a career-high 24 minutes against Auburn last week.

WoW. Louisville had #1 Virginia beat; and gave up 5 points with 0.9 seconds on the clock to lose by 1.
    Collapse of Biblical proportions.
