Five-star wing/forward Jaden McDaniels starts his fourth official visit tomorrow when he flies across the country from Seattle to Lexington. The No. 4 player in the 247 Sports ranking has already officially visited San Diego State, Washington and Texas. Kentucky and UCLA are the other schools in his top five. There’s no current date set for McDaniels to visit UCLA.

The 6-foot-11, 185-pound Federal Way, Wa. star has the size of a forward but plays like a guard. He has great handles for his size and a versatile offensive game. Kentucky is running out of big targets in the class of 2019, but McDaniels would be an intriguing addition. McDaniels wouldn’t give the Cats a great deal of muscle on the frontline for the 2019-2020 season, but he would be a mismatch problem for college threes/fours. If McDaniels were to pick Kentucky the Cats would have one of the most intriguing offensive teams in the country for the 2019-2020 season.

John Calipari has visited McDaniels at least twice and this will be McDaniels’ first trip to Lexington. McDaniels has gone on record saying he grew up a Kentucky fan but over the summer he clarified that he no longer has a favorite college team.

Interestingly enough, Calipari has made sure to tweet when he’s traveled to Seattle. Maybe he’s throwing us recruiting analyst a bone, or he wants the country to know he’s making McDaniels a priority.

SDSU and Texas are leaders for McDaniels’ Crystal Ball, but things can always change after an official visit. Jaden McDaniels’ brother, Jalen McDaniels, currently plays for San Diego State but is projected to head to the NBA after this season. CBS projects him as a first rounder.

Seattle, that is the Smith tower, as in Smith type-writers and Smith and Wesson. Tour the underground if you are ever in Seattle.
