Five-Star Point Guard Cuts Kentucky

Under Armour

Under Armour

Kentucky is out of the picture for one of the best players on the West Coast.

The second-ranked point guard in America according to the 247 Composite Rankings has cut his list to four.  Nico Mannion will choose between Duke, Marquette, Arizona and Villanova.

Mannion recently reclassified from the 2020 to the 2019 class.  Upon making the move, Kentucky contacted Mannion to gauge interest, but never offered the Phoenix native.

Kentucky is in solid shape when it comes to point guards in the 2019 recruiting class.  The Cats already have a commitment from Tyrese Maxey, they are in an excellent position with Cole Anthony and one of the point guards on this year’s roster will likely return for another year in the Bluegrass.

Sounds like Mike has this particular ginger – translation = athlete – solidly encamped in both ends of his Polish alimentary canal.

      Kat,
      Bingo!
      The guy just screams “Doookie.”

Makes sense, I guess, based on the roster situation next year. Probably not in his best interest to come here and join an already crowded back court.

He looks like a Dukie but I’ve heard AZ is the favorite.

He’s Nova or Duke for sure. But I’ll take Coke Anthony with a junior Quade and Jemarl Baker all day

I’m surprise Opie doesn’t have Florida on his list. Looks like a dude that would be at Florida.

I would have thought Scott Farcus aged out by now.

I’m not bothered by this .. but anyone who has seen cole Anthony play knows that’s the only person we need to be worried about picking up. Where ever cole goes they’re winning a national title , that’s how good he is

Did this kid really “cut UK from his list” when we never actually offered him?

LOL….that title couldn’t be more backwards.
