Five-star Kentucky target Peyton Watson to announce decision on Monday

The No. 1 high school player in California is about to make his college decision and the Kentucky Wildcats are barely in the mix.

Earlier on Friday, five-star small forward Peyton Watson took to social media to announce that he would be making his college choice on Monday, July 27 at 6 p.m. PST. By the looks of it, he’ll be making the announcement live on Fox Sports.

Watson, who is tabbed as the 17th best player in the class of 2021 according to 247 Sports composite score, is currently considered a UCLA lean. He is ranked as the sixth-best small forward in the nation.

Kentucky is already in solid shape for the 2021 recruiting class even though they don’t have any commitments at the moment. While adding a 6-foot-7 wing is always helpful, John Calipari has plenty of other options at his disposal for the 2021 class, namely Paolo Banchero.

On Wednesday, 247 Sports Crystal Ball logged its first prediction for Watson: UCLA. Since then, three other writers have also predicted that Watson will pick the Bruins. Other programs that are interested in Watson include Arizona, Gonzaga, Michigan, and Oregon.

Marcus Lee, Jemarl Baker, Johnny Juzang are all from California and all transferred from Kentucky.

Move on BBN. We don’t need another player from California that has been feminized and has no balls to be a man.

There were (and are) some damn good players out of California. Two of my best friends and college teammates transferred from The Beach and UC Irvine to finish their careers at D3 Ohio Northern.

I wasn’t talking about how good players they are. I”m sorry you missed my point. I was talking about their emotional make up. Another crude name is a [email protected]@sy.

Don’t lose sight at the significance of this loss, Paolo would b a 4 at the collegiate level. Peyton Watson would be the best true 2021 class wing UK would land unless there is some late magic that brings Baldwin Jr away from Wisconsin, which is probably NOT going to happen. Yeah, Huntley-Hatfield would b a huge get but not as good as Peyton Watson simply bc he is not part of the 2021 class & instead a reclass candidate. Yup! Huge blow! Hate how Kentucky fans just overlook things like this

Probably not such a huge blow considering we will have Toppin, Allen, and likely Fletcher all returning. Not to mention the immediate transfer field…

From the looks of how all this is starting to take shape, Kentucky would be lucky to land even Hardy

This guy, obviously, has no clue what he is talking about. Smh. Saying “Kentucky is already in solid shape with the 2021 class” like HOW?????

Assuming he’s anticipating a commitment from Hardy, and a reclass and committed from Skyy Clark and Huntley-Hartfield.
