It was a big night for the current Cats, rolling to a third straight win behind a full team performance with Jarred Vanderbilt and Kevin Knox leading the way.
Another pretty talented big man was in the building last night as the No.6 overall player in the 2018 class, EJ Montgomery, made his official visit to Lexington over the weekend.
Kenny Payne led Montgomery and his family on a tour of the court just before the team began warming up, conversing with the family as they settled in for their first game experience at Rupp.
Kevin Knox also came over to Montgomery to say hello after making his way onto the floor as the two know each other from playing against one another on the AAU circuit.
Montgomery, the top available big man in his class, has narrowed his list down to Kentucky, Duke, and North Carolina with Duke(surprise) being the favorite to land his services. He visited both Duke and UNC last weekend.
If Calipari can sway the five-star to join Keldon Johnson, Tyler Herro, and Immanuel Quickley in the 2018 class it would be one of Cal’s biggest recruiting wins in recent years.
Come on home, EJ.
