It wasn’t officially announced that Rhyne Howard would sit out Thursday night’s game against the Missouri Tigers until roughly two hours before tipoff. Howard fractured her pinky finger following an injury in the team’s win over Auburn earlier this week.
Without their star player, the No. 13 UK Hoops squad still came out with an impressive road win against Mizzou by a final score of 62-47.
How bout that. ??

Amanda Paschal was the star of the night, filling in nicely for Howard in the starting lineup. The redshirt senior poured in a career-high of 18 points to go along with five rebounds and three assists on 8-14 shooting from the floor. Alongside Paschal – helping fill up the stat sheet – were Chasity Patterson and Blair Green.
Patterson added 12 points on 5-9 shooting while Green went for 11 points, seven rebounds, and three steals while playing her best defensive game of the season. Sabrina Haines contributed nine points and recorded four steals in the process.
As a team, Kentucky shot 45.5 percent from the floor but just 4-16 from beyond the arc. The Wildcat defense stepped up from the tip, forcing Mizzou into 20 turnovers and a 2-18 clip from three. I’ll be back shortly with a full game recap. Keep yourself busy with the full box score in the meantime.
