Over the last several days, Kentucky has picked up nearly all of the momentum when it comes to 2019 five-star forward Jaden McDaniels. There were even some rumors on Twitter that the UK coaching staff had received his National Letter of Intent and an announcement was imminent.
Tonight, though, recruiting guru Evan Daniels decided to jump off the Kentucky hype train… at least temporarily.
After submitting a prediction in favor of the Wildcats last week, Daniels, who has an all-time prediction success rate of 93.51%, changed his Crystal Ball pick on 247 Sports to “undecided.”
Recruiting analyst Josh Gershon, who also has an all-time success rate of over 90%, changed his pick to “undecided,” as well.
In other brief recruiting news, 2019 four-star guard and Duke decommit Boogie Ellis announced his commitment to Memphis this afternoon, all but taking the Tigers out of the running for five-star combo guard RJ Hampton.
With Texas Tech having little-to-no momentum right now for the Little Elm, TX native, one would think it’s down to Kansas and Kentucky, right?
Possibly, but according to Daniels, that doesn’t mean the Cats have a serious shot to land Hampton.
This evening on Twitter, Daniels said he “(doesn’t) think he’s going to Kentucky.”
