So as of today we’re favorites for 6, 7, 18,and 19. Add in Young, Lee, Willis, and Hawkins and it’s a pretty dang good team. Lose Young and getting 9 or 10 seems pretty important. Don’t want to get stuck choosing between Devin Booker and Derek Willis at 3. Having a real small forward is a nice advantage in college. Also note: this season is going to be awesome.

I hope people dont hate on Ulis because he isnt a top 20 guy. Cal obviously likes his game. That should be enough for everyone to hold off on any criticism of the kid.

33 is kind of high for Ulis

For the foreseeable future, all of espn’s rankings should be taken with a grain of salt.
They just lost the best man in the business, Dave Telep, to the spurs’ front office. Paul Biancardi and co. are ok, but do not seem to be as reliable as those at rivals or scout.
That being said, we had better hope that Lee, Johnson, and Young come back for pursuit of #10, because the high school class of 2014 doesn’t have near the top end talent that ’11 or ’13 had/has.
Without them, we struggle that season IMHO.
Struggle is a funny word for us in the BBN. I’m talking fringe top 25 team, sweet 16 finish.
So in other words, like one of Indiana’s best seasons.

@ wldctky: he’s been climbing the rankings due to his work ethics, he deserves the ranking.

@ I Shoot 4s: It’s also possible that Poythress returns for his junior year as well. If he wants to be a lottery pick, next year’s draft just might be too loaded for that to happen. We’ll see.

Ulis is being underrated because of his size. I predict he will be a great pg maybe turn out to be the best pg in this class. Small but talented guys play with a chip on their shoulder. Remember allen iverson to name one. GO BIG BLUE!

This year is going to be great, no doubt about it. Next season however, is probably going to be like last season. Doesn’t look like we are going to get any great players, and say what you want, we all want the great players who can dominate the competition. Last season we didn’t have any, this year we have several, and we all know which we prefer.

#12 I disagree with you 100 percent, why do you think most of the players aren’t signed yet, its real simple they’re waiting to see who leaves Kentucky. We have a great start already with the second best center, & I also think the best point guard size: is not going to be a factor with him. BBN IS CBB. ILF#9

@cats fan. Yes we want great players, but players that will fit coach Cal’s system. A player that will put the team first and not “I want to be the star”. But most important we need a player/players that have high energy like MKG and Julius Randel. From that list I believe that Stanley Johnson is that type of kid. Ranked at #9, I would take him over any of the other top 8.

Towns would be #1 if he hadn’t committed so early.& Does anyone know why we pulled offer from c.alexander?
