ESPN gives final predictions on Bamba and Knox

If you’re reading this right now, you’d probably really like to know where Mohamed Bamba and Kevin Knox are going to go to college. Well, unfortunately, I don’t have a concrete answer for you, but I can share ESPN Insider Jeff Borzello’s best guess on both. Let’s start with the good news. Borzello believes Bamba is coming to Kentucky, putting his confidence level at 55%.

“Bamba is still publicly considering all four schools on his final list, but most coaches involved believe it’s between Kentucky and Texas at this point. Texas’ chances received a boost when Jarrett Allen decided to keep his name in the NBA draft, and Kentucky’s mass exodus over the past few weeks hasn’t hurt the Wildcats’ odds either. Neither side is totally confident right now, but Kentucky appears to have a slight edge.”

Okay, what about Knox? Unfortunately, Borzello’s thoughts echo many in recruiting circles when he implies that Kentucky’s not really in the picture. He predicts Knox will go to either Missouri or Duke, giving them both a 45% chance of landing the five-star small forward, with Cuonzo Martin swooping in and making the Tigers a legitimate contender in the last few weeks.

I don’t think Knox will end up at Kentucky either, but you have to think Calipari’s got better than a 10% shot, right?

Break out your wallet and read the rest for yourself at ESPN Insider.

I’m sorry, even with Knox and Porter Jr. (unless they stay multiple years) Missouri isn’t going to be contending for much.

So I assume that Knox is seriously considering skipping the NCAA tournament by going to Mizzou? Does the name Ben Simmons mean anything to him?

I think it’s hilarious anyone thinks Cuonzo Martin can coach…I know we all know better, but these poor kids and their parents. The guy was a week from being fired at Tennessee and now these kids think it’s a good idea to play for him…and because of what? He made the NCAAT at Cal? He took a one and done in Ivan Rabb and turned him into a two year player?

Porter I can understand given he’s supporting his father’s employment, but Knox would be making a monumental mistake by going there. If your choice is UK, Duke and Mizzou and you pick Mizzou, you deserve whatever you get.

I thought UNC was an option too, unless he removed them today. It actually seemed like they could be a fit with Jackson leaving so if that’s the case, technically Calipari would have less than a 10% chance.

I do think both knox and Bamba(mostly knox) want to be the big dawg on any college team.Like I’ve said before I’ve watched knox play a hell of alot, and he wants the ball going through him…Maybe it’s coaching on the high school level, but knox gets the ball down court just about every play.Just speculation, but I think one is waiting to see where the other goes..
