Erik Daniels has a new job thanks to an assist from a fellow former Cat. Woodford County athletic director Dennis Johnson has hired Daniels as the new girls’ basketball coach at Woodford County High School. The two became friends at Kentucky while Daniels played basketball and Johnson played football.
Daniels played under Tubby Smith from 2000-2004 and ranks 54th on the all-time scoring list with 1,053 points and 49th on the rebounding list with 520 boards. This is his first head coaching job. Previously, he was the assistant coach for the Bryan Station girls basketball team and the Frederick Douglass girls basketball team.
