Eli Brown commits to Kentucky!

Bowling Green’s Eli Brown is the newest member of Kentucky’s 2015 football recruiting class. The four-star linebacker, a top 20 player nationally at OLB, tweeted his commitment late Monday evening.

A former Vanderbilt commit under James Franklin, Brown attended Kentucky’s Junior Day back in February and has made two other unofficial visits to Lexington this month. He also had offers from Ohio State and USC.

I think we can double last years win total within two or three years if we keep getting good players.

I think you will quadruple the number of SEC wins in the last two seasons. Heck, why not say 10 times the number of SEC wins last year. I think Stoops can do it.

Great! Now sign a LOI. Kills me how often football players commit and de-commit depending on the weather. They should be more stable in their decisions, like Terrence and Marquis or Trey. Not criticizing the players, they’re 17 and 18 years old when they “make up their minds” Just marveling at the coaches deal with it.

Eli de-committed from Vanderbilt because the coach moved to Penn State. I understand that, more often than not, athletes can waiver on their commitment. However, in Eli’s case, he deserved the freedom to look elsewhere after Coach Franklin transferred.
