Down goes Indiana! (To Fort Wayne LOL)

Third-ranked Indiana was upset tonight by Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in IPFW’s first ever win over a ranked team.
The Mastodons (sweet mascot) scored only three points in the final 10 minutes of regulation, but still found a way to upset Tom Crean and that team Kentucky is allegedly afraid to play in overtime.
Storm that court, Fort Wayne!

Hey Coach Cal, I double dog dare you to schedule a home-and-home with Fort Wayne.

And ESPN had Indiana #1 in their “power rankings” this week. Hilarious. I hope the mastodons get championship rings.
Can’t believe Crean didn’t cut down the nets… Wonder what popcorn will look like the next 10 years. The only thing that bothers me is that Bobby K. may take pleasure in this.
Jeff Goodman’s twitter is worth a look if you need a chuckle
Chuklin’ Out Loud
Jeff, now what were you saying? Uh huh… right… ok…
I’ve been railing on Goodman since halftime.
Ha ha ha ha! That’s hilarious!
Pretty funny but…cal must be afraid to play them, or he woud right? what ever happend to take all comers? I’m sure Robert Morris it getting a good chuckle about this weak ego drew franklin post. LMAO
Bitch, you’re 1-8. Shut up.
Cal must be afraid to play them bc he offered to play them in a arena in Indiana two years in a row but Indiana declined. Scorpio is really showing his butt hurt. L1C8 we own UofL
For many years, the IU/UK game alternated between Indy and Louisville. Cal offered to play them 2 years in a row in Indy to renew the series. It works better that way, IMO. Allows fans of both schools a chance to buy tickets to give both teams a crowd. Yes, the tipping point was the 2011 game. Not because we lost, but because security was so lax that their redneck fans were allowed to trample the UK players and cheerleaders.
Now don’t you have a football playoff to obsess over? Oh wait…
Fort Wayne will be in the NCAA tourney. This is why schools like Kentucky don’t play at EKU, Morehead etc.
The reason UK doesn’t play at those teams is because thier gyms seat a few thousand and UK wants to sell 20,000 tickets.
Fort Wayne was 2-2 before this game with losses to Arkansas and Illinois State…and they didn’t even shoot the ball well in this game (below 30% from 3) and won LOL
My two favorite teams will always be a) Kentucky and 2) Anyone who plays Indiana.
You forgot anyone who plays Duke.
I am right there with you CatManDo. It’s the single greatest win in November college basketball history! And I love it
Boy Jeff Goodman can REALLY pick em!
Yes, and he’s old enough now to choose a reputable Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon.
I actually feel really bad for the IU cheerleader in that first picture. I hope she won’t let this prevent her from baking us cookies.
Now that, right there, is funny. I don’t care who you are.
^^ Winner!
What possible recruiting advantage for IU could be gained by giving IPFW a home-and-home? Surely Indiana University could have gotten a home game without strings just with the guarantee?
I guess these are questions IU fans are asking themselves this morning…
That’s just Crean showing us that he is not afraid to have a home-and-home series with ANYBODY. 😀
IU lost. Who will Jerry Tipton vote for #1 now?
I was watching Wisconsin-Georgetown when the Indiana 1st half score scrolled across the bottom of the screen. I thought, what’s a IPFW? So I switched to that game.
So, a IPFW is an IU butt-kicking Mastadon. Who knew?
