Is three-star safety Trenton Yowe committed to Kentucky?

The former Mississippi State commit was offered by the Cats on April 20th, and he was supposed to announce his commitment on his birthday, June 8, but there hasn’t been any news since then.

However, if you take a look at the Calera, Alabama native’s Instagram page (@golivetay), you will see in his bio section: “Committed to THE University of Kentucky.”

That’s very interesting considering there have been no reports of Yowe’s commitment, and he’s still listed as uncommitted on all his recruiting profiles. In fact, Mississippi State actually holds the lead on his Crystal Ball page with 67 percent of the predictions.

The 6-1, 170-pound defensive back is ranked No. 738 nationally and the No. 49 safety, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He currently holds offers from Florida, West Virginia, and, obviously, Mississippi State, among others.

While this would seem to indicate that Yowe is headed to Lexington, his Twitter bio isn’t as complete as his Instagram one, as it reads: “Committed to…”

I suppose it could be a troll move on Yowe’s part, but that would seem unnecessary. Regardless, it’s definitely something to monitor for Kentucky football moving forward.

If he is ranked that low then I’m not worried about him. Especially with those LSU players coming in

What a jerk. So you would have skipped Josh Allen {not even ranked}, Benny {876 Nationally} and most of our current team since most were 3 stars like AJ Rose, TJ Carter, Boogie, Q, Looney, Wright, Ali, Hoskins, Thomas, SQUARE, Wilson, SMOKE, Oliver, Rodriguez, Stenberg, Fortner, Riggs. Guys like Lonnie Johnson, Baity, Westry, Edwards all were 3 stars. You are an idiot if you only go by a guys ranking as you just stated. You want a team full of Matt Elam players, he was a 4 and 5 star guy and probably could not have played at EKU.
