Some more potentially good news on the men’s basketball recruiting front, as five-star combo guard Devin Askew is expected to take multiple upcoming visits before he makes his college decision, according to Evan Daniels.
Five-star guard Devin Askew plans to take multiple visits before making his college choice, his father told @247sports. Askew had said earlier today on Instagram that a decision was coming soon.

Earlier on Tuesday, Askew posted on Instagram that he would be making his commitment soon. This came shortly after the Mater Dei (CA) product received a visit from Lousiville’s head coach Chris Mack. But with news that Askew will plan more visits, the Kentucky Wildcats should find themselves on that list of hosts.
Our own Jack Pilgrim wrote that the 6-foot-3 guard had, at one point, been in the process of scheduling a visit to Lexington sometime in October or November, however, that date could now be bumped up depending on when Askew plans to announce.
The No. 10 overall prospect in the class of 2021 according to 247 Sports, Askew is also considered a candidate to reclassify into the 2020 class, potentially replacing other Kentucky prospects at the guard position who have already moved on from the Cats.
The overall recruiting buzz has been trending in the direction of Kentucky and Lousiville, while Askew is also considering Memphis, Arizona, and Villanova. Evan Daniels said during his weekly recruiting roundup column from this past Friday that he would “lean towards Kentucky” when making a decision on Askew’s announcement.
Now we wait.
