Davonte Robinson says he’s “all in” on his commitment to Kentucky

Davonte Robinson may not be as heralded as some of his fellow 2016 UK commits, but his stock is on the rise. The Henry Clay cornerback committed to UK in October, but has been picking up offers and interest from major programs ever since, including Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish have been particularly persistent in their recruitment of Robinson, who was supposed to visit South Bend on Monday.

In an interview with the Herald-Leader’s Ben Roberts, Robinson says he canceled the visit to Notre Dame because of a “scheduling conflict,” but assured fans that he’s “all in” on the Cats.

“Oh, I’m all in,” he said emphatically. “I still want to go on my visits, because that’s every kid’s dream. But I bleed blue.

“We’re definitely going to change the game. I know that for sure. Hopefully we’ll be a top-10 class by next year when we graduate.”

It’s worth mentioning that Robinson spent the weekend at UK for a 7-on-7 camp with his fellow 2016 commits, and according to his high school coach Sam Simpson had a “heck of a day.”

He’s listed as a CB, but the majority of his highlights were on the offensive side of the ball.
