Damien Harris was really excited to see Alabama add another commitment

harris-ua

Did Damien Harris show his hand during the Under Armour All-America game?

Harris stood with Blake Barnett, an Alabama quarterback commit, as Kendall Sheffield announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide. He and Barnett reacted like two guys excited to add a new teammate to their class.

Earlier this week, Barnett told AL.com he feels good about the likelihood of Harris joining him in Tuscaloosa. “Barnett and Harris have essentially been joined at the hip this week at Under Armour,” the report said.

This isn’t a good look for Kentucky’s chances.

Everyone calm down. Don’t hang on every move, action, and reaction of these 18 year old kids. He may very well be going to Alabama, but he also might have just been happy for one of his friends. He tweets and speaks highly about UK and got excited about the team just as much as he has Alabama in the last season. Everyone thought Elam was all Bama this time last year too.

Exactly! These are kids and they use social media and their actions without knowing we are going to overanylize everything they do like this. I was going to say the same thing about Elam as well. Of course he’s exited for bama, he was surrounded by their recruits. I still think he goes with the cayuts

I wouldn’t blame him. Alabama actually has an O-Line

On a serious note: if we lose Harris, how do you really feel about UKs running backs? I for one feel like Harris brings us to an A grade, but we are still a B+ without him. Boom and Heard are still amazing backs!

Damien Harris tweeted that his reaction had nothing to do with his decision. He also tweeted an instagram link of his 36 yard run that included “@Kentucky Bred. I bet that if it was a recruit committing to Kentucky or Ohio State, he would have reacted similarly.

According to this article on al.com, the commitment was a surprise for the Tide (most thought he was going to Texas A & M).

DH obviously likes the Tide, so he would be excited for Bama even if he is picking the Cats.

Side note: the article I linked says Sheffied secretly chose Bama in AUGUST. So much for the prognosticators who act like they know where kids are going.

Oh, and we’re scheduled to play Bama in 2016, so DH also could be excited about playing Sheffield, especially if they’re buddies.
