Damien Harris is still Rivals’ #1 running back, says UK is recruiting him the hardest

It’s weird this may be the last time we use this picture.

The new Rivals 100 for 2015 was released today, and Damien Harris is still considered the best running back in his class, even though he dropped six spots to the 10th overall player. The Madison Southern star will announce his decision on December 13, and the final five schools are Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio State, and Texas A&M. The Courier-Journal’s Steve Jones recently spoke to Harris, who said Kentucky is recruiting him the hardest of any of the schools in his final five.

Although it’s not necessarily a major factor for him, Harris said UK is recruiting him harder than any other team in his final five.

“Kentucky obviously is close to home and close to family and friends and all that, and the program is on the rise,” he said. “It’s kind of one of those things where I’ve been there before. A program that hasn’t necessarily been good in the past, but is getting in the process of turning it around. It’s almost something I’m kind of familiar with being like I was in high school.”

Come on down and be a hero, Damien.

Read the article. I was left wondering how Mr Harris felt about doing in college what he did in high school.

A team focused and very talented player? I hope he picks UK and becomes an example and a leader for the home team. Keep recruiting for the O-line!
