Damien Harris had a response for his celebration during the All-America game

Late last night Damien Harris sent out this tweet regarding his reaction on TV to his teammate Kendall Sheffield’s commitment to Alabama. He called out the media for stirring up a news story out of nothing and made sure to keep everyone guessing up until the 9th, when he will finally commit to a school. I’m not saying we shouldn’t believe Harris, but his reaction did look suspect on TV during the game so it’s understandable to see some buzz generated on the topic.

Let’s just hope he does the right thing, along with coach Marrow.

According to this article on al.com, the commitment was a surprise for the Tide (most thought he was going to Texas A & M):

DH obviously likes the Tide, so he would be excited for Bama even if he is picking the Cats.

Side note: the article I linked says Sheffied secretly chose Bama in AUGUST. So much for the prognosticators who act like they know where kids are going.

Oh, and we’re scheduled to play Bama in 2016, so DH also could be excited about playing against Sheffield, especially if they’re buddies.

if he comes here, there is a pretty good chance he could be the number 1 RB on the depth chart during the season. I have seen him play once, he is strong, fast, and hits holes just as they open. This is the kind of talent we have watched play at the Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia schools all these years. If he comes here, in 2016 we could be the class of the SEC east, providing Stoops keeps up the recruiting pace.

That’s provided he has blockers on the O-line.

If Damien will come to the CATS!……If we can keep Coach Marrow…..wow! SEC here we come!

You do realize that his reaction could have been anytime leading up to then. He is basically saying what was shown on TV didn’t have anything to do with the announcement. It’s just TV making a story. Probably doesn’t help UK’s chances to have KSR calling him out.

Exactly. He could very well be reacting to a play on the field.
