If Jeff Brohm returns to Louisville to be the Cardinals’ next head coach, it will undoubtedly make in-state recruiting more difficult for Kentucky. When that might happen could be sooner than you think.
After successfully recruiting Louisville four-star wide receivers Rondale Moore and Milton Wright to Purdue, some believe Brohm could add even more if he takes the UofL job before signing day. Rivals’ Dave Lackford penned a piece, “Hypothetically Speaking, if hired Brohm could flip three to Louisville.” Along with Wright and Moore, the third is UK commit Wandale Robinson. Kentucky’s top-ranked commit addressed the speculation on Fox 56.
“I’m not going to say anything unless that actually happens,” Robinson said. “Obviously, I’ll be a little open to consideration. But as of right now, I’m still 100 percent solid at Kentucky, so I’m not really worried about other schools.”
On paper, the quote should not concern Kentucky fans. What else do you want him to say? However, the TV clip gives off a different vibe.
Louisville was never on Wandale’s radar, but he was recruited extensively by Brohm at Purdue. They were finalists in his recruitment after he took an official visit to West Lafayette.
Robinson plans on signing December 19 and enrolling in the spring. If Brohm is going to pull off something crazy, it must happen fast, all while Vince Marrow and Kentucky remain in Robinson’s ear.
