Landon Young is a married man. The Lexington native and four-year starter for Kentucky’s Big Blue Wall tied the knot with his now wife, Haleigh, on Saturday. The couple shared the news on Instagram, where they earned a shoutout from Daughter’s Southern.
The Youngs had their big day catered “food truck style” by the local restaurant.

If you didn’t see Chef Cain rolling out the truck today, it’s because we had the honor of catering the wedding of Landon Young and his sweet bride Haleigh – food truck style! We can cater any wedding – traditional or food truck style! Thanks so much for allowing us to be part of your big day! (Y’all – isn’t it fun to see someone make Chris look short!?!? ?) #kentuckywedding #kentuckycaterer #foodtruck #sharethelex #lexingtonky #foodtruckwedding #gocats
Young recently joined KSR’s Nick Roush on his podcast 11 Personnel, where he discussed the one big mistake he made before his proposal.
“I get nervous before a game but this is a little different,” he told KSR at the time. “This is the rest of your life. You gotta realize I’m only doing this once, so I gotta make it right. I want to make it special for her because she knows I love her and I want to give her the world. Of course I had butterflies and I was nervous. Did I get the right ring? Is she gonna like it? Am I gonna ask her in the right way? Is there going to be too many people, too little people?”
It must have been just right because Haleigh said yes back in March, and now the two are officially husband and wife. Congrats to the Youngs!
