Come see KSR at the Bryan Station Kroger

This week’s Kroger KSR Game of the Week is in Pikeville as the Panthers take on the upstart Sayre Spartans. Ryan Lemond and Freddie Maggard will be at the Bryan Station Kroger in Lexington on Friday at 5:00pm. The KSR duo will be handing out Kroger gift cards and talking all things football with any and all that stop by to see us. Remember to greet us with the magic words, “Kroger Presents the KSR Game of the Week.”

Sayre is playing their first full varsity season and enters Friday’s game with an undefeated 8-0 record. The Spartans are coached by former New York Jet and Miami Dolphin quarterback Chad Pennington. His son Cole is the team’s quarterback and has thrown for 1,906 yards and 27 touchdowns. Trey Dennis is Pennington’s go-to receiver and has 58 catches and 11 touchdowns in 2020.

The Pikeville Panthers are 5-2 and also features a quarterback, Isaac McNamee, coached by his dad, Chris McNamee. The Panthers are the state’s Class A reigning champions and will be a tough out in eastern Kentucky. Pikeville is also led by junior receiver Zac Lockhart who just earned KSR All-State honors.

This game is a rare playoff matchup of two, top-5 teams. It’s winner take all from this point out. Come see us tomorrow.
