While Kentucky fans are resting today after celebrating the blowout win over the Missouri Tigers last night, Coach John Calipari is hot on the recruiting trail. Pat Lawless, a national recruiting analyst for “GiveNGo” on MADE Hoops, is reporting that Coach Cal was visiting the Ranney School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey to see a couple of top 10 recruits from the class fo 2019.

Scottie Lewis and Bryan Antoine both attend the Ranney School, both are consensus top 10 players, and both are the top players at their respective positions in the class. Lewis is the number one small forward, while Antoine is the top ranked shooting guard. According to 247 Sports, Kentucky has offered both of the prospects. Lewis’ crystal ball sits at 50% to both Kentucky and Florida, and Antoine’s has the leader being 88% Duke and 12% going to Kentucky.

I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if they didn’t attend the same college. If a college program is to get both you definitely want them to announce in the early signing period.

I’m certain I saw Scottie Lewis at the game vs Mizz on Saturday. He was sitting on the baseline watching warmups with Tony Barbee. At the time I assumed he was a recruit but didn’t know who until I recognize him from this post.

If so, I am surprised no one reported that, because it would be a big deal.

ASIDE: One post below this one, Jonathan Miller just wrote one of his better pieces for KSR, but it is a shame that he remains afraid of people’s reaction to his work. Writing a thought-provoking article and then actively stifling all discussion of it is a very mixed message.
