Clown robber still on the loose in Lexington

The clown phenomenon just won’t go away. In the past 24 hours, four gas stations in Lexington have been robbed by a man wearing a clown mask.
The first robbery took place at 5 a.m. Sunday morning at the Speedway on South Broadway, the second at the Thorntons on Georgetown Road, and the third at the Speedway on New Circle Road at Meadow Lane. Around 1:30 this morning, the robber hit the Shell station on Nichols Park Drive near Man O’War Boulevard. He was wearing all black and a clown mask, and went into the store with a gun and demanded cash before fleeing on foot. He was last seen running towards Rooster’s restaurant.
Lexington Police continue to search for the suspect. They believe a silver or gray Chevy Impala may be involved.
