After Cliff Alexander decided not to take an official visit to Kentucky this fall, many thought the Cats had fallen out of the hunt for the talented power forward. However, Alexander’s high school coach Mike Oliver told the Herald-Leader’s Ben Roberts that’s definitely not the case:
“At this point, he wants to visit someplace he’s never been,” Oliver said. “It’s easy to get him down to Kentucky. And Kentucky’s always going to be at the top of the list.”
Alexander visited UK for Big Blue Madness last year, and Oliver says he thinks Kentucky’s still in Alexander’s top three. Michigan State has also been considered a leader for Alexander, along with Kansas. Why Kansas? Alexander’s girlfriend will be a freshman on the Jayhawks’ women’s basketball team this fall, and if you go by the “Boo Rule,” that makes them a clear leader going in to the clubhouse.
Lots of pretty ladies in Lexington, too…
