Check out what Kentucky is getting in Malik Monk

The first time I saw Malik Monk play, he scored 40 points in one game, with John Calipari and Kenny Payne sitting courtside. Been a fan ever since.

Think Russell Westbrook — and if that seems ridiculous, watch the first video below and then tell me it’s ridiculous — or maybe the athleticism of Eric Bledsoe with a better deep-ball.

Monk’s the real deal, and when you put him next to De’Aaron Fox, goodnight.

AND he’ll be a great compliment to the southpaw point guard, De’Aaron Fox…

Dude’s awesome, no question. I first told y’all he was the “real deal” after seeing him in the Real Deal in the Rock in April ’13. Btw, he was playing with Skal in that tournament (and his brother, Marcus, was one of the coaches). Don’t know how close was/is to Skal, but they played well together. Might Skal consider a 2nd year to play with his buddy… Nah, prolly not, but it was a fun thought!

He looks like a better version of Archie Goodwin. Taller, faster, better off the bounce, more willing to pass and a better shooter. He definitely likes to dunk it. I could not believe how quick he is. I can’t wait to see him in Blue!

So much better it’s not really even a comparison. I’ve seen ’em both up close. Monk was always better than Archie — way, way better.
