It was a great day for the three remaining former Kentucky Wildcats competing in the National Football League Playoffs.  Last night, the Tennessee Titans took down the Baltimore Ravens to give Linebacker Wesley Woodyard the opportunity to play for the AFC Championship next weekend.  In the nightcap, Za’Darius Smith continued his dominant play to help the Packers move into the NFC Championship game.  However, it was Lonnie Johnson Jr. that garnered the most attention by recording his first career touchdown after recovering a blocked punt.

Lonnie Johnson Jr. (Houston Texans)

Johnson played a big role in the Texans hot start against the Kansas City Chiefs as he recovered a blocked punt with about 10 minutes remaining in the first quarter to score his first career NFL touchdown.  Johnson also recorded four tackles, but the Texans fell to the Chiefs 51-31 in a wild game to end the rookie cornerback’s season.

Wesley Woodyard (Tennessee Titans)

Woodyard collected five tackles in the Titans 28-12 win over the Baltimore Ravens.  Tennessee will take on the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend for the right to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
