Cats contact 4-star forward

ellenson

Kentucky has no shortage of quality frontcourt options in the 2015 class but recently reached out to yet another prospect in Rice Lake (Wis.) power forward Henry Ellenson.

Ellenson (6-9, 250), who is rated as the No. 29 overall prospect in the 2015 class by 247Sports and No. 46 overall by the 247Sports Composite,  averaged 18.7 points and 8.5 rebounds through four games, including a 25-point outburst in a 68-59 win over California Supreme Saturday morning while leading Playground Elite to a 2-2 record at the Nike EYBL in Dallas over the weekend.

He possesses elite shooting ability from the perimeter, ideal for pick and pop situations, runs the floor well and rebounds at a high level.

Don’t think he will leave his home state to play college BB.

He should first talk to Wiljer and Willis. He will ride the pine unless he can guard people.

Oh I get it, because they are all white.

He is supposed to be more in the Parsons mold than that of Wiltjer.

I said nothing about his color. The story states “He possesses elite shooting ability from the perimeter, ideal for pick and pop situations, runs the floor well and rebounds at a high level.” That pretty well describes Wiljer and Willis. It says nothing about his athletic ability. If you do not possess elite athletic ability, you will not play much at KY.

Duuuude – When did you see Wiltjer rebound at a high level?

If he has time to pose for pictures, he should be practicing free throws and playing for the name on the front of the jersey and if he hasn’t been a UK fan his whole life, we don’t want him…

95% of the kids we recruit didn’t grow up Kentucky fans. If the kid can ball and puts team first, we want him. But thanks though, anonymous UL fan.

I thought I made it obvious enough that it was sarcasm. Clearly some people still don’t get it. Thanks though, anonymous knuckle-dragger.

Ranked in the twenties. Got the height, but his game is knocking down the three. It’s Wiltjer all over again, and that’s not a bad thing necessarily.

Kid, if you’re coming here, GET RIPPED NOW. It will make your life much easier.

So #3… you think all the guys in Cal’s era have been UK fans all their lives? I seriously doubt it. As long as he’s a UK fan when he leaves. Having said that the guy looks like a long line of big guys who have played at Wisconsin. He may be a Wisconsin clone.
