Camryn Whitaker named head coach at Northern Kentucky

In a move that was hinted at last week by Ryan “Scoop” Lemond, former UK Hoops assistant Camryn Whitaker was just named the head coach at Northern Kentucky. Whitaker was one of three assistants to part ways with the UK Hoops program in recent weeks, and now we know why. Congrats to Whitaker, who is probably hoping she had the Roush sisters for one more year.

Meanwhile, the UK Hoops program continues to spiral, with sophomore forward Alexis Jennings announcing her plans to transfer on Wednesday. She’s the seventh player since October to leave the program.

I hope she has the same kind of success that she helped us have…

We Cynthiana / Harrison County folks are proud of Camryn. We are glad she landed on her feet. NKU is a great opportunity for her.
My bride and myself are senior citizens and have UK Hoops season tickets for the past ten years. I hope Coach Mitchell and the team land on their feet.
