Cal will watch Rashad Vaughn today (and you can too)

twolv 'shoot out'

John Calipari watched Luke Kennard play yesterday, and today, he’ll watch 2014 shooting guard Rashad Vaughn.  Vaughn’s Findlay Prep plays Wesleyan Christian Academy in the Hoophall Classic in Massachusetts at 11:30 this morning, and the game will be televised live on ESPNU.

This is Vaughn’s first game back from knee injury, and he told ZagsBlog’s Jason Morrow that he was going to make a trip to Lexington this weekend while in Ohio, but the weather was too bad.  He’s considered the 12th best player in the 2014 class by 247 Sports Composite, and he’s down to Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, Iowa State, and UNLV.  Weather permitting, he does plan to take an official to Kentucky soon.

Turn your TV to ESPNU and use this thread to discuss Vaughn’s performance.

UPDATE: After a bit of a delay, Cal and Antigua are in the building.

I know he’s coming back from an injury but I haven’t seen anything yet. His team mates don’t seem to want to pass much.

I agree it’s the Kelly Oubre and The Pinson show.

We really need one more shooter to come in with the 2014 class. I feel good at Vaughn, now.

Theo Pinson haha auto correct. Oubre is the real deal. Kid looks good in many aspects of the game.

TT. They are playing in Springfield, Mass, not Kettering, OH. You must be thinking of the trip Cal made the other day to watch Luke Kennard.

My bad. Tough to keep up with all these prep tournaments.

But T.T. is partially correct as the announcer said Cal was in route to the game at the beginning of the second quarter. Even though it is in Mass.

I wonder id Cal is kicking himself for putting in so much time recruiting Stanley Johnson so heavy and not showing Oubre more attention? Oubre is the real deal.
