Football is a tougher gig I think – winning cures alot of things, and heightened expectations fall in that category of “good problems”.

Losing sucks any way you cut it, and overcoming decades of mediocre results is a harder cross to bear.

the more pressured job is by far and away the basketball job. i’m not sure if that means it’s “harder” per-se, but it is easily has the most pressure… If you disagree, just look at it this way… Football coach wins 50% of his games or better, he’s treated very very well by the fans… Basketball coach wins less than 75% of his games, he is on a serious hot seat…

I think it was supposed to say arena because Rupp needs a major renovation at this point.

Not sure how Rupp is less than average. Having been to Knoxville, Columbia, Chapel Hill etc. I’d say Rupp is very average (and perhaps above average on the strength of size alone). We do need renovations, but let’s not act like the Yum Center is the norm throughout college bball.

For a program of our caliber, Rupp is below average. It’s very dated. Don’t get me wrong, I love Rupp Arena, but it needs a make-over.
